To Be Loved - Darren Mort serves as a Director at To Be Loved, the charity behind the film Tommy, which Darren co-produced and also featured in his presentation with us. The mission of To Be Loved is to promote the prevention of mental illness amongst children and young adults exposed to extreme physical, psychological or emotional distress as a result of family violence or family breakdown, separation or divorce.

Our Presenter
Darren Mort is the founder of To Be Loved. He was admitted to legal practice in 1986 and he signed the Bar Roll in 1990. Family Law is his principal area of practice. He has served on the Family Law Bar Association and chaired his List of Barristers. Darren has also served on the Family Violence Taskforce Committee reporting to the Royal Commission on Family Violence. He is a Mentor for Melbourne University Law Students and also a member for the Association of Family & Conciliation Courts. Darren is also a trained actor and has appeared on many Australian television shows.
In 2017, Darren produced a film, Degree of Separation, heralding international acclaim and accepted into 24 International Film Festivals.
