No, you do not have to purchase bulk subscriptions in order to activate client accounts. You can purchase individual subscriptions when creating a new family or once you have been connected to a client on OurFamilyWizard.
Can I get a refund for bulk subscriptions or individual account purchases?

Yes, we have a 30-day refund window for all purchases through the OurFamilyWizard website. To request a refund, please contact our customer support team.
